Enjoy a special night out in the forest with family or friends and join us for an autumn evening hike, illuminated by flameless candle luminaries. Explore the trails at the adjoining School Forest (School District of River Falls) and Community Forest (Kinnickinnic River Land Trust) properties. Enjoy cocoa, cider, and popcorn provided by Whole Earth Market Co-Op and say hi to KRLT, SDRF, and WE Co-op (tables located at both the confluence of the Kinni and the Rocky Branch tributary AND the Rotary Pavilion in the School Forest).

This is a free community event! We kindly request that you register so that we can plan accordingly.

Helpful Information

  • This is a self-guided hike. You are welcome to hike whatever distance you feel comfortable with.

  • Bring a flashlight if you'd like, and wear comfortable shoes.

  • There is a porta-potty located on the School Forest property; please plan accordingly.

  • There are three entrances to the Autumn Candlelit Hike. There will not be a shuttle bringing people back to their parking location.

  • Due to safety concerns, we kindly ask that you not park on County Hwy FF. This year, we have added an additional trail and parking option.

Below is the map of the trails that will be lit. The stars indicate the location of the cocoa, cider, and popcorn. While supplies last!
