You have obtained the only NCCA accredited Credential for the Pilates profession -

it's important to know how to maintain it!

Certification starts the day you pass your exam and it needs to be renewed every 2 years.

Determine when the certification expires and when renewal window (6 months prior) opens.

Check expiration date by logging into your profile:

• Comprehensive
• Pilates Mat

Proceed to gain Continuing Education Credits corresponding to your Credential:

Comprehensive Certified: 16 CECs

Pilates Mat Certified: 8 CECs

A) Take NPCP-Approved Courses

After completing a live, live-streamed, or distance learn course, gather all

certificates and keep in a safe place.

B) Petitioning: If taking Non-NPCP-Approved Courses

Ensure courses align with Scope of Practice and are live or live-streaming. Prepare to petition with required documents. *Email NPCP to

confirm hours can be used.

C) CPR/AED Certificate

Automatically grants 4 CECs

Collect documents at the time of course completion:

• Certificate of Completion or Attendance Letter from Provider
• Workshop Description
• Instructor's CV/Bio

Note: You cannot petition for pre-recorded videos, reading materials, or self-study.

Check your expiration date.

Renewal opens 6 months prior to your expiration date.

Once open, proceed to renewal steps and petition, if applicable.

(You can upload your NPCP approved courses now and just pay the fee when it opens).

• Login to the NPCP account
• Update Certificant Information
• Upload NPCP-approved certificates
• Save & Close
• Pay Renewal Fee ($105)*

*Certificants needing additional time to gather CECs beyond their expiration date, are allowed a 180-day grace period for an additional $75 fee to gather CECs and renew.

• Open CEC Petition Application
• Fill out and upload all required documents
• Add $25 nonrefundable fee for each certificate
• Submit payment

Petitions that do not contain all the documentation cannot be approved.
