CURRICULUM & METHODS

  • Co-occurring programming utilizing methods such as MRT, CBT, RNR, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Thinking4Change, & MAT via coordination with local providers
  • Offering mental health support and treatment coordination services to provide comprehensive, person-centered, and culturally-relevant care
  • Providing assistance and referrals to aid clients in finding employment and long-term housing solutions.

What does "centering marginalized perspectives" in a substance use treatment setting look like?

Summit Integrated Services (SIS) recognizes the unique challenges clients from underserved and marginalized communities face. Programming at Summit addresses topics that are common in treatment settings such as coping with stress, resilience in recovery, relapse prevention, & building healthy relationships. In order to empower marginalized individuals in the recovery community, we equip clients of all cultural backgrounds with knowledge, language, and experience

navigating conversations centered on topics such as racialized trauma, identity, ostracism, & belonging.

NAVIGATING SOBER HOUSING

We recognize housing as a human right that is an essential piece of one’s recovery journey.

To ensure Summit clients have a safe place to go outside of group hours, SIS Intake Coordinators simultaneously screen for Summit IOP and housing eligibility for those who express interest in sober living environments. However, Summit clients are not required to live at a sober living facility.
