Partnership Spotlight
I had the pleasure of visiting our three hotels in Fayetteville in late January. Each property is in excellent condition, led by outstanding teams, and consistently delivering strong results. A key factor in their success is their ownership—the Carey family. Newport is grateful for our deep alignment with them and the trust they place in our operations and commercial teams.
The very next day, I met with a new ownership group in Richlands, NC, who are building their first hotel, set to open in early 2026. After a three-hour conversation filled with their life stories, passion for their city, and vision for hospitality, I knew I had found Carey 2.0. They are highly successful in local real estate but new to the hotel industry, eager to learn and committed to doing it right.
They asked thoughtful questions, wanting to understand their role, our guidance, and the long-term decisions that drive success. They are looking for true partnership—transparent conversations, best practices, and the full picture of hospitality management. This is exactly the kind of ownership group we want to grow with, one that values collaboration and excellence. I’m excited for what’s ahead, knowing this partnership will be a win for both Newport and their community. |
