Help Us Welcome 140+ Teachers to the LSR-7 School District This Fall Chamber to host New Teacher Breakfast Aug. 5 with food, prizes and plenty of surprises! |
Each August, the Chamber honors and welcomes all new teachers in the LSR-7 School District by partnering with the Lee's Summit Educational Foundation and LSR-7 School District to host a New Teacher Breakfast. The Chamber also works closely with members to recognize and support these wonderful new teachers.
In 2024, LSR-7 will welcome approximately 140 new teachers to the District.
There are three ways you can get involved in supporting our teachers:
- Sponsor the event
- Put together a basket of school supplies for the new teachers to use in their classrooms
- Donate items for goody bags for every new teacher
Sponsor Your sponsorship dollars will help support a Teacher of the Year Grant and also the Chamber's Education Scholarship program.
Gold Sponsor — $750 Silver — $500 Bronze — $250
Donate Help make our classrooms a great place for our children and future leaders by donating a basket of school supplies to our New Teacher Breakfast! The baskets will be used as our centerpieces on the tables and door prizes! We will give away as many baskets as we acquire. Our goal is 50!
The basket value should be a minimum of $50. Be creative — and remember we have new teachers from kindergarten through high school, teaching a variety of subjects, so the sky is the limit when it comes to supplies!
If you want to support this initiative but aren't feeling creative or don't have the time to put together a basket, no worries — the Education Committee can do that for you. You can make a donation in increments of $50 for a basket to be put together on your behalf.
Goody Bag Donation We are also accepting items for the New Teacher Goody Bags. We spoke with teachers and have compiled a list of their most needed items. Sign up for items here.
If you are donating a basket or items for the goody bags please deliver them to the Chamber office by July 31st. For questions, contact Megan Gray at mgray@lschamber.com.
Also, please note this is an invite-only event for the new teachers, so please consider showing your support via a donation. |
