ACCEPTANCE INTO EXHIBIT AND SELECTION OF AWARDS

Acceptance of artwork and designation of awards for this exhibit will be made by the

curators and the guest Judge based exclusively upon the digital images submitted to

OCFA. This exhibition will include 21 individual pieces on-site. All displayed artwork

must be listed for sale. Additionally, images not accepted for display at the Marriott will

be featured in the online gallery.

THEME

The theme for this exhibition is "Summer in the City". We are looking for artwork that

highlights your vision of Summer in Orange County and Southern California.


ARTWORK SUBMISSION CRITERIA AND CONTENT

Frame Sizes

There are 21 frames available for the show in the sizes listed below (all in portrait

orientation). Please indicate your frame size choice in your application. Submitted

artwork must be unframed and in one of the exact dimensions below to fit in the existing

locking frames at the venue. If you are unsure or need clarification of the frames, visit

the Marriott to see the current show or stop by Showcase Gallery to see a sample

frame.

7 @ 16” H x 12” W x 1.75" D

5 @ 30” H x 20” W x 1.75" D

4 @ 30” H x 24” W x 1.75" D

5 @ 36” H x 24” W x 1.75" D


ARTWORK MEDIA, ENTRIES and FEES

Artwork submissions can be in any media. All work submitted must fit within the designated frame size.

Artwork submissions are limited to 5 pieces per artist. Entries may be made in more

than one medium. Entries are to be made via submission of jpeg images.

The Entry Form will Ask You For the Following:

Fees:

  • Single entry: $15.00.
  • Entrants may enter additional artwork for $5. per piece, (max five entries.)

  • There is no guarantee of acceptance into the physical show.
  • All artwork entered will be displayed in the Online Gallery


DROP-OFF / TAKE-IN

Accepted artwork must be delivered to the gallery take-in staff in the lobby of the Marriott Costa Mesa, 500 Anton Blvd, Costa Mesa, on June 12, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. No exceptions.

All entered artwork must remain on display and for sale until the end ofthe exhibit, October 16, 2024.


OPENING RECEPTION AND AWARDS PRESENTATION

The opening reception will be on June 13, 2024, from 5pm -7pm. The exhibit will also

be online on the OCFA Showcase Gallery website (http://showcasegalleryoc.com/).


PICK-UP

Artwork pick-up will be between 10:00 am and 11:00 am, October 16, 2024. All artwork

must be removed during this time. Please make arrangements for pick-up on this

date/time if you are not personally available.


REPRODUCTION OF ARTWORK IMAGES

Any artwork entered in this show may be reproduced for OCFA’s advertising, marketing,

and promotional purposes without consent of or notification to the artist or the artist’s

agent.


RELEASE OF LIABILITY

By entering the exhibit through OCFA, the Artist acknowledges that OCFA will take all

reasonable care to safeguard their images and Artist accepts that OCFA, its agents,

associates, directors, officers, volunteers will not be responsible for any damage, injury,

liability, loss, or theft, should any occur. Insurance for digital representations of art

entered in this show is each individual Artist’s responsibility. By entering, Artist agrees

to all terms described in this contract.


SALES, SALES TAX, COMMISSIONS, SHIPPING

Artists Will Retain 100% of the sale price of any artwork sold during this show. All sales

will be handled directly between the buyer and the Marriott Costa Mesa. Sales tax will

be the responsibility of the Marriott and the buyer. Marriott will issue payment to the

Artist for any sales. All shipping arrangements will be between the buyer and the Artist.
