Collier Area Transit (CAT) now offers mobile ticketing to purchase bus passes using the Transit app.

CAT surveyed passengers and obtained feedback that it was difficult to toggle between two apps: one used to purchase CAT trips and one used to plan CAT trips. CAT was able to migrate the two apps into one to make traveling on CAT a seamless ride.



Passengers can now ride CAT with one easy-to-use app for trip planning, real-time bus tracking, crowdsourcing features, multimodal connections, and fare payment.

Passengers can use their mobile device as their bus pass by tapping the “Buy Ticket” button at the bottom of the screen before the time of travel.

Users can create a Transit app account, enter credit card information to purchase a ticket, and activate it once they board the bus. In the Transit app, CAT riders only need to enter their payment information once to plan trips and purchase fares across multiple modes and services – in Collier County and over 300 cities worldwide.
