Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory has been an integral part of the Gunnison Valley for nearly a century, serving as a unique and vital field station every summer for scientists from around the world.

Our new RMBL 365 facility gives us a year-round presence in the town of Crested Butte, allowing us to deepen our commitment to and partnership with this amazing community. We like to call it RMBL's front porch, where friends come to gather, share ideas, learn new things, and help science thrive.

RMBL's field station in Gothic, CO provides access to the critical infrastructure, resources, and long-term datasets that make science, education, and community programs possible. Leveraging a deep understanding of regional ecosystems, combined with novel technologies designed to accelerate research, we enable scientists to make groundbreaking discoveries on everything from marmot populations and pollinators to impacts of climate change.

RMBL 365 furthers this mission by opening the door to year-round engagement, creating space for education and collaboration, youth and community programs, overnight stays for mission-aligned guests and organizations, and meaningful connection between the community and the long-term science of Gothic.
