Sustainable Wastewater Practices Workshop

The Sustainable Wastewater Practices Workshop will give participants the opportunity to hear from experts and neighboring communities about ensuring the long-term management and sustainability of their community’s public wastewater service. This effort builds off of the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality’s (VDEQ) Southwest Virginia Regional Wastewater Study.

Hosted by the VDEQ’s Clean Water Financing and Assistance Program and the Southeast Rural Community Assistance Project (SERCAP), this training is also being supported through EPA’s Water Technical Assistance (WaterTA) Program funded by the Bipartisan Water Infrastructure Law. For more information about the technical assistance available through this program, please see the R3 WaterTA program website.

Participants that complete the workshop will be eligible to receive four continuing professional education (CPE) contact hours for water and wastewater works operator license. Lunch will be provided. Please see the agendas below for more information.
