Bay Area Caregivers Resource Guide

Find Help For Your Loved One

Caring for an aging loved one is one of the hardest jobs you'll ever take on and often the most confusing. You’re not alone and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself.

This free online guide brings together local contacts, services and tools for family caregivers in the San Francisco Bay Area. It’s not the full answer to every caregiving challenge but it’s a solid starting point and we’re updating it regularly as new information becomes available.

Who to Call First

In a life-threatening emergency, always call 911 immediately. If the situation is not life-threatening, call your healthcare provider.

Clearly explain the issue to the nurse or staff member who answers so they can guide you on next steps.

What's covered in the guide:

• Local caregiving services across the Bay Area

• Help finding in-home care, assisted living, adult day care, senior placement and more.

• Contacts, checklists and basic how-tos
