Healing Trauma Through Yoga: A Teacher's Course IN STUDIO OR ZOOM - June 29rd, 2025 11AM to 5PM PT

Join us on June 29, 2025, for a 5-hour Trauma-Informed CE* Course designed for yoga teachers or professionals interested in deepening their understanding of trauma-informed practices.

Participants will gain comprehensive knowledge of trauma, its impact on the nervous system, and how yoga can support healing through breathwork, movement, and mindfulness. The training will cover essential trauma-informed principles such as safety, choice, empowerment, and collaboration, emphasizing the role of the teacher as a facilitator rather than a healer. You do not need to be a yoga teacher to take advantage of this course.

With practical tools like trauma-sensitive modifications and techniques for recognizing trauma triggers, this course helps yoga teachers create an inclusive and supportive environment. Aligned with Gestalt therapy, trauma-informed yoga fosters awareness, choice, and self-acceptance, reflecting the paradoxical theory of change, which suggests that true change occurs when individuals fully accept themselves as they are.

Participants will also explore self-care, ethical boundaries, and the importance of cultural sensitivity.

Location Name: Course may be taken in studio (if space still available) or online on Zoom

Location Address • 219 North Indian Hill Boulevard, 203, Claremont, CA 91711
