| Please arrive by 9:30am at the corner of Nesslewood and Robinwood. Look for the Lucas County Board of DD banner and join our group!
A few items to note:
- Feel free to dress creatively, but appropriately, for the parade.
- Please bring water and/or snacks, if needed.
- Wear sunscreen.
- Lucas DD staff will walk with you, but is not providing direct supervision to individuals.
- Cars cannot be parked on the grass due to improvements at Glenwood Park.
- The Old West End 5k foot race will happen immediately before the parade using basically the same route, so there will be more road closures than usual.
- The Old West End Preservation Committee will be having a pancake breakfast at Glenwood Park during setup. You are encouraged to support this, but keep in mind that you're about to take a 2 mile walk in the June sun.
- Cars will need to park at the Mercy College lot or on Scottwood, Rockwood, or Parkwood. There will be a trolley to and from the Mercy lots on Scottwood and Nesslewood.
- The parade will step off at 10am and travel up Robinwood, with a slight jog around the arboretum. We will continue up Robinwood to Bancroft and take a left. We will then take a right on Collingwood. King Wamba and Queen Sancha and their royal party will depart their float and watch the parade from the portico at Collingwood Presbyterian Church.
- The parade ends at Woodruff where you will be directed where to go by parade staff. There will be water and snacks available!
