In 2013, at age 47, an E. coli kidney infection turned into sepsis, leading to a stroke, coma, and a fight for my life. After waking up, I had to relearn how to walk, talk, and rebuild my life from the ground up.


One goal on my bucket list was to run a marathon—but at first, I could barely run 3 miles. Then I discovered Jeff Galloway and the Run-Walk-Run® method. Almost immediately, I doubled my distance and found hope again.


I completed my first marathon in 2016 and Dopey as my third marathon. Now at 60, I’ve run over 130 marathons injury-free and feel healthier than ever. The balance of run-walk-run, recovery, strength training, and proper fueling changed my life.


What brings me the most joy now is helping others achieve goals they once thought were impossible. Running became my happy place and my healthy place—and I’d love to help you make it yours too.

Brendan Twiggs grew up immersed in the Galloway Method as the son of Galloway Head Coach and Chief Training Officer Chris Twiggs. Having learned from both Chris and Jeff Galloway his entire life, Brendan has experienced Run-Walk-Run® at every level—from beginner runner to race champion.


A former University of Tampa cross-country and track athlete, Brendan ran a 15:39 5K PR and has earned impressive performances, including winning the 2017 Jeff Galloway Half Marathon and finishing top 10 at the Gasparilla 15K.


In 2026, Runner’s World highlighted Brendan for running a 2:51 marathon at Walt Disney World using a 6:00 run / :30 walk strategy—proving the power of the Galloway Method at a high level.


Whether your goal is your first finish line or a Boston qualifier, Brendan is ready to help you train smarter and reach your potential.

Betsy Magato brings more than 30 years of competitive running experience and love for the sport to her coaching: from a 59-second 400m in the 1990s to a 3:03 marathon in 2019.


Trained in the Galloway Method by Jeff Galloway and Chris Twiggs, she also holds RRCA and VDOT O2 certifications and has been coaching runners for more than 10 years. She works with runners of all abilities and experience levels, helping them balance training with busy lives so they can stay consistent, healthy, and ready to achieve more than they ever thought possible.


Betsy races distances from 5K to the marathon, competes in HYROX, paces races, pushes disabled athletes in wheelchairs, and teaches HIIT, live treadmill, and virtual running classes in Atlanta.

Running is both a passion and an outlet for Amy. It keeps her healthy, challenges her to grow, and has introduced her to an amazing community of friends and athletes.


Amy is certified through RRCA Level II, Galloway, McMillan, Revolution Run Coaching, and strength coaching, and she incorporates runner-specific strength work into all her training plans.


She is the Owner and Head Coach of Moms on the Run Jacksonville, a coach for Run with Zeal, and a marathon and half-marathon pacer for several organizations, including Galloway and Marathon Pacing.


Over the years, she has completed 100+ half marathons, 30 marathons, an ultra, and countless other races. She truly loves helping runners become healthier, stronger, faster, and more confident.
