It’s Cinco de Mayo: Just in QUESO you didn’t know. Cinco de Mayo is a vibrant and festive holiday that celebrates the Mexican army’s victory over the French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. While this was long viewed as a minor holiday in Mexico, it has become a significant culture celebration in the United States. Surprisingly, 41% of Americans don’t know the reason for celebrating it. But it doesn’t stop the people from joining in on the celebration.


Time to get your fiesta on! Join us for some food, fun, and fiesta with tacos, paletas (ice cream popsicles), a Mariachi band and Folklorico Dancers. BYOT (bring your own Tequila)!


Each attendee will receive a raffle ticket upon entry for a chance to win a bottle of Clase Azul tequila (gifted by Alvarez Mason) and three one-hour massage gift cards (sponsored by Elements Massage Frisco-Stonebriar).

Get ready for the Frisco Lakes semi-annual Community Garage Sale! Gather up the items you want to sell then simply register at the Village Center Front Desk to receive your information letter and yard sign. 


We will list the Community Garage Sale on several apps and send out eBlasts for the event. Large signs will be placed at the Frisco Lakes entrances and smaller signs around the community. The day prior to the Garage Sale, we will send out a link with the participating houses as well as have printed copies of the map at each amenity center.

ProShred will be onsite to shred your documents for free. Please bring your paper documents in a paper bag preferably. If you bring them in a plastic bag, please do not tie the bag. If you bring them in a bin, we will dump out your files and give you back the bin. Please note this process can take time to get through the line as there is usually only one attendant.  


Frisco Family Services will have a large truck onsite to collect your small household items and clothing donations. This is the time to declutter your house, get rid of items that don’t bring you joy, and donate to a good cause. This fun, interactive, and informative chocolate event explores the intricacies of the flavors inherent in both fine chocolate and wine and how to bring the flavors of these two luxury items together. Participants will taste a selection of premium chocolate of varying cacao percentages and learn about their personal taste preferences.


The guided tasting progresses with hand-picked selections of several high-quality, yet approachable, wines paired with several premium chocolates. You will discuss the flavor profiles of the wines and chocolates and learn the concepts of pairing and general rules on avoiding pairing pitfalls. You'll also get to compare how well-tuned your palate is to others in the group as Chef Zach tests your taste buds through fun, interactive questions to promote interactions among the group. The tasting ends with Chef Zach’s hand-made truffle using one of the tasting chocolates. What better way to socialize than over chocolate and wine?

Harris Jewelry Repair is coming back to Frisco Lakes to repair watches, jewelry, etc. This is the same company that has been providing jewelry repair services since 2011. If you need a repair done, go to the Activity Room between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of every month (except November and December which will be on the third Wednesday). No registration required; first-come, first-served basis.

Registration is required for all events with a fee including, but not limited to Bingo, Trivia, DJ Parties, Movie Nights, Meet Your Neighbor, as well as Social Committee events. Members of the Frisco Lakes Lifestyle team are responsible for upholding the Policies and Procedures of Frisco Lakes at all Community Association events. Staff member(s) are stationed at the entrance to check in residents who have registered for the event. Residents who are not registered in advance will not be admitted. Each event with a fee has a posted registration deadline. If the event sells out prior to the deadline, there will be a waitlist.


If you cannot attend an event for which you have registered and paid, please contact the Village Center Front Desk to cancel your reservation. You may not send a friend or neighbor to take your place at the event. We may have a waitlist for the event and any available spot would be filled by the next resident on the waitlist. 


The Association adheres to a strict “No Refund” policy for reservations cancelled after the registration/catering deadline. Refunds will only be given (after the registration/catering deadline) if there is a waitlist for the event.


Please be respectful of the staff members who are working the event and abide by the policies of the Association. Improper conduct toward or abuse of members, residents, guests and/or Association staff will not be tolerated. Failure to comply may result in the suspension of membership privileges. Thank you for your cooperation.


The Village at Frisco Lakes has relied on members of the community, caterers, and staff to prepare and provide food served at these events. If you have any food allergies, refrain from consuming any food which you find questionable.
