OUR MISSION: The Elpis Children’s Foundation’s mission is to encourage and support Black families in pursuing private adoption in the United States.
Adoption professionals often receive feedback from expectant Black mothers expressing a strong desire for more options that feature Black families as potential adoptive parents. While there are grants available to support various adoption initiatives, including special needs and international adoptions, there are limited grants offered to encourage Black families to pursue private adoption. The grant program is available to help with some of the costs of adoption and is open to all legal adoptions in the U.S. regardless of marital status, race, ethnicity, religion or national origin. |
