Hourly Salary: $18.00 - $21.00
Responsibilities
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Report to General Manager
- Maintain work flow and organization to ensure maximum productivity
- Inventory control
- Verifies incoming and outgoing shipments, assembling orders (as needed), handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
- Review bills of lading for incoming merchandise and customer orders.
- Ensures inventory is secured, stored and only accessible to the associates in accordance with company guidelines
- Covers exposed materials, when required, to prevent weather damage.
- Counts material and records totals on inventory sheets.
- Identifies “special” order merchandise.
- Works with customers to give them the best possible service, as well as achieves and maintains good customer rapport.
- Straightens materials in yard to maintain safe and orderly conditions
- Inspects physical conditions of warehouse and equipment
- Maintain organization and cleanliness in the yard and warehouse
- Assist other associates as needed
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
- Ability to lift and carry merchandise (up to an approximate weight of 50 pounds, although not limited to 50 pounds)
- Ability to frequently bend, stoop and reach in order to stock inventory, service customers, and maintain a clean work area.
- Ability to climb a ladder or “step up” to stock and/or count inventory in overhead areas
- Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to stand/walk for up to eight hours (short breaks provided throughout the shift)
- Fork lift certified
- Clean drivers license
Minimum Requirements
