How it works: This is the lowest deposit option Carnival offers. Instead of selecting your exact stateroom number at the time of booking, you simply choose the type of cabin you prefer (Interior, Oceanview, Balcony). Carnival will then assign or allow you to choose your cabin after you’ve paid your full deposit.
What that means for you:
You’ll still be guaranteed the cabin type you booked (for example, a balcony room).
You won’t know your exact location on the ship until assignments are made. This could mean being in the front, back, or middle of the ship, and it might not be next to friends or family if they also booked.
Best for: Travelers who want to keep their upfront costs as low as possible, don’t mind being flexible with cabin location, and are fine waiting until later to know exactly where they’ll be staying on the ship.
