We are now enrolling Just Yoga's 200-hour Teacher Training class of 2025.
Just Yoga’s Teacher Training curriculum is approved by Yoga Alliance and greatly exceeds their strict standards of training and subject hours. Successful completion of our Certificate Program will allow you to register with Yoga Alliance as a Registered Yoga Teacher at the 200-hour level (RYT 200).
Why consider Just Yoga's training program? All teacher trainings are NOT the same! Unlike many other programs (and most "chain" studio trainings), Just Yoga's trainers have decades of experience teaching thousands of students and mentoring many instructors (Lisa's bio | Purvi's bio). As a part of our program, you'll have access to a detailed, premier program that will more than prepare you to teach at a Studio level.
This training will add to your practice on a fundamental level. While geared to those who plan to teach, training is open to anyone who wants to explore in-depth the postures, sequences, science, and history of yoga from a “behind the scenes” standpoint in a self-empowering, inclusive space.
The Just Yoga Teacher Training curriculum is rooted in both the traditional teaching of vinyasa flow hatha yoga as well as a modern biomechanically-informed approach. You will learn how to create classes that “work” by learning:
- anatomical structure of postures
- relationships between posture families
- biomechanics-based functional alignment
- how to confidently plan a sequence for different class levels
- physical and verbal cueing
- safe and respectful approaches to hands-on assists
- how to teach pregnant and injured students
- breathing techniques
- traditional yoga philosophy
- an overview of the “energetic body”
- how to market yourself and find a job as a yoga teacher
This is not a yoga teacher “puppy mill.” There is only one training offered each year and enrollment is strictly limited (and thus fills quickly). Our goal is to make sure each of our students receive full personal attention and training to become highly qualified, confident, and SAFE yoga instructors.
You will learn to teach. But most importantly, you’ll learn so much about yourself. |
