Bilingual Bookkeeping Technician

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WOULD:

• Be warm, energetic, positive, extremely organized, with a strong work ethic.
• Be customer service oriented, assisting our clients to achieve financial success and peace of mind.
• Have bookkeeping experience and good basic accounting knowledge.
• Be knowledgeable with tax and accounting software (Adagio, Simply Accounting, Quick Books, CaseWare, Caseview).
• Proficiency in learning new software.
• Have strong team player and time management skills and be able to perform well under pressure.
• Being bilingual (French/English) and having the ability to read financial information and/or have tax experience would be considered great assets.
• Personal and corporate tax experience would be a great asset but is not required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Bookkeeping, including preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports.
• Preparation of GST/PST returns.
• Preparation of both personal and corporate tax returns.
• Reconciling accounts.
• Posting journal entries.
• Preparing supporting documentation.
• Assisting senior accountants with their daily responsibilities.
• Other duties as required and as assigned.
