CREDIT CARD AUTHORIZATION (CCA) FORM

WHAT IS A CREDIT CARD AUTHORIZATION FORM?

A credit card authorization (CCA) form is a document signed by the cardholder that grants a merchant permission to charge their credit card for a period, as written in that document. The form is often used to give businesses the ongoing authority to charge a cardholder on a recurring basis.

TryShy Travel's implementation of CCA forms was created to minimize fraud and other associated risks with taking your payments without you being physically present. We utilize a private client portal to send CCA forms to you, and we provide a secure, encrypted connection for you to send your information back to us. It is important to note that it is our standard process to delete your card details after each use and send a new CCA form for each payment received. If you wish for us to store your card details in our secure CRM, written permission must be provided via email.

WHAT IS INCLUDED AND REQUIRED IN A CREDIT CARD AUTHORIZATION FORM?

  • The cardholder's credit card information (card type, name on card, card number, expiration date, CVV code)
  • Cardholder's billing address
  • Language authorizing the merchant to charge the customer's card on file
  • Name and signature of cardholder
  • Date

HOW TRYSHY TRAVEL USES YOUR CREDIT CARD AUTHORIZATION FORM

Before we accept any trip payment, an encrypted CCA form is emailed to you. After each use, your information is deleted. Each completed CCA form (sans numerical data) is stored in a database library as proof that we obtained your permission and authorization of the charge(s).
