MassMEP Partners with CONNEX Marketplace to Develop Supply Chain Platform for Massachusetts Manufacturers

March 6, 2023 - Auburn, MA - MassMEP, the Massachusetts Manufacturing Extension Partnership, is pleased to announce CONNEX Massachusetts, an online Industry 4.0 platform designed to strengthen local and domestic manufacturing supply chains. Created in partnership with CONNEX Marketplace, the new program will provide a single, accurate, searchable scouting database to connect Massachusetts manufacturers.

CONNEX Massachusetts is a powerful online manufacturer-supplier marketplace that includes a database and connectivity platform. It provides a no-cost resource that combines Massachusetts manufacturer and supplier data into a single database to better connect manufacturers, provide supply chain visualizations, and display workforce and R&D efforts within the region. This allows buyers, manufacturers, and suppliers to quickly post and respond to needs, visualize supply chain risk, search for qualified suppliers, and discover new business opportunities.

"Addressing supply chain issues is a top priority for manufacturers, from reduced access to raw materials to equipment availability to labor shortages," said Kathie Mahoney, CEO/President of MassMEP. "CONNEX Massachusetts allows us to build a strong, Massachusetts-centric manufacturing network that will help local organizations easily identify alternate suppliers and improve supply chain diversity, resiliency, and risk."

CONNEX Massachusetts will launch on April 13, 2023. Massachusetts manufacturers and suppliers can participate at no charge. For more information, contact Kimberley Ingalls, [email protected].
