Kathy Caruso is the Executive Director of the McNulty Veteran Business Center, a 501c3 nonprofit organization providing veteran entrepreneurial training and counseling and serves as host of the Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC) NY/NJ. Her responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, strategic planning, financial management including fundraising, grant and contract administration, project management, and coordination of Board activities, and she also serves as VBOC Administrator. 


From 2003-2020 Kathy served as Administrator of the Arsenal Business and Technology Partnership, an economic development organization and site manager for the Watervliet Arsenal, and the McNulty Center’s predecessor. And in 2020, she oversaw the successful transition of operations and VBOC program to the McNulty Center.


Previous experience includes work as a production office coordinator in feature film production for major studios. Kathy is a graduate of the Rensselaer County Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Institute Class of 2019 as well as the Capital Region Chamber’s Leadership Tech Valley Class of 2011 and has served on the VETCON Alliance since 2016. She is married to Phil Caruso, legendary still photographer in the film and television industry, and they have two grown children, Sarah and Vincent. She is the daughter of Pulitzer-prize winning novelist William Kennedy.
