Clinical Informatics Council


The Clinical Informatics Council is a newly established committee for New England HIMSS. This committee is comprised of both clinicians and IT professionals. We are looking to boost our membership of providers, nurses, and pharmacists. Responsibilities include the following:



  • Attendance of monthly committee meetings, along with chapter meetings
  • Bringing ideas for topics that are relevant to clinicians from an IT perspective
  • Bringing forth speakers for these topics to help educate our audience
  • Participating in the credits (CEU) process we work to attain from the Partners for Advancing Clinical Education (PACE)
  • Being aware of deadlines between both locking in a speaker and receiving PACE approval
  • Campaign to colleagues for our events, including the CEU offering
