Charting the LifeCourse Ambassador Program

Join our current group of DEW sponsored Charting the LifeCourse Ambassadors and be a part of this exciting community

The Department of Education and Workforce is accepting applications from parent mentors, state support team consultants and Ohio educators to participate in training and a community of practice on Charting the LifeCourse. Charting the LifeCourse helps individuals and families of all abilities and ages develop a vision for a good life and more.

Creators of the Charting the LifeCourse framework designed it to help individuals and families of all abilities and all ages:

Develop a vision for a good life;
Think about what they need to know and do;
Identify how to find or develop supports; and
Discover what it takes to live the lives they want to live.

Information about the specifics of this training series, requirements to apply and expectations for participation can be found on the Families of Students with Disabilities page. Applications are due by August 1, 2024.

Print off either the Parent Mentor or Educator Letter of Support and have it signed by your supervisor (See Below)
Email the signed document to [email protected]
Request September 5th and January 30th off work
Complete the Ambassador Application Form (See Below) before August 1, 2024

Important:

We will be hosting a Kickoff event on September 5th, 2024 at the Ohio State University and a

Summit event on January 30, 2025.

Please put in your absence requests now.

We will inform you of the acceptance status of your application on August 15th, 2024.
