Celebrating National Apprenticeship Week (April 26-May 2, 2026)

National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) will take place April 26th-May 2, 2026. NAW is a nationwide celebration that highlights the value of apprenticeships in building skilled workforces. The theme for NAW 2026 is "America at Work: Making America Skilled Again through Registered Apprenticeship." As the nation celebrates its 250th year and continues its reindustrialization, the overarching NAW 2026 theme reflects Registered Apprenticeship's prominence as a key strategy to ensure the American worker is equipped for the skilled jobs of today and tomorrow.

As part of Apprenticeship Week, OhioMeansJobs Stark County is hosting an event for apprenticeship sponsors, employers, unions, and training providers to explore workforce funding opportunities that support apprentices.

Workforce Trends Dashboard Highlights

What information does this Dashboard share?

The “Job Postings: Desired Certificates” Dashboard highlights the certifications employers most frequently request in job postings and how demand has changed over the last year, signaling key skill requirements in the local labor market. These are not college degrees—they include credentials or other industry-recognized certifications that qualify someone for specific roles, though often earned during or after completing a degree.

How is this helpful?

The Dashboard provides the community with real-time information from unique job postings that share the frequency of desired certificates are listed in postings. This information can be helpful to answer what employers may be seeking, are individuals training for in-demand certifications, and what are some of the quickest paths to good jobs.

This Dashboard can be “filtered” by Workforce Area (Stark and Tuscarawas) or by individual County (Stark or Tuscarawas).
