Introducing...

"Opening Ourselves to God's Word"

The Word of God holds a central place in our personal and communal faith lives. In past years, we have engaged with our sacred texts in a variety of ways. This fall, we invite you to join our prayer experiences which are always open to new participants each time they gather. Throughout this Fall semester, consider trying out one or more of these spiritual practices. Allow them to enrich your prayer time. Discover how they ground your week in peace, trust, and hope and provide meaningful and thought-provoking nourishment for your heart, mind, and spirit. Whether you are a household of one or four members, please explore these opportunities to find the ones right for you at this time on your spiritual journey.

Faith-sharing with the Friars

Every Tuesday morning, the friars gather for an extended period of prayer and fraternal reflection on the Gospel reading for the upcoming Sunday. The format they use and the questions that guide their discussion will now be shared each week with parishioners for personal meditation and household conversation.

Reflective Rosary ~ The Joyous Mysteries

Mondays (December 6, 13 & 20) at 7:00 pm

on Zoom

Please join in this wonderful spiritual practice of praying the Rosary... in a *new* way! This evening Zoom gathering will be a short, joyful, and meaningful prayer activity that is appropriate and relevant for all ages.

Each session will be approximately 20 minutes in length. We will pray one decade of the rosary, reflect on scripture together, and make connections to today.

All are welcome... join in by yourself or with your family. Invite your children, grandchildren or godchildren to join us!

This is a perfect way to try something new and add an evening prayer and reflection to end a busy day.

Don't have a rosary? Don't know what to say? Don't worry! We will provide everything you need, join us for a prayerful evening.

Quiet Prayer

Wednesdays 7:30 - 8:00 am

Every Wednesday morning, join us on Zoom to be in quiet prayer with others. We begin with a brief ritual of offering compassion for the needs of our world and ourselves. The Gospel for the upcoming weekend is read; 20 minutes of silence for personal prayer and meditation follows the reading.

Suzanne Nolan facilitates this gathering.

Lectio Divina (“Divine Reading”) is an ancient method of contemplative prayer with Scripture. It is not bible study, nor does it require any background in biblical study. Rather, it involves listening deeply to a scripture passage and seeking in it God’s message for each of us. We create a safe and sacred space to read, contemplate, and, if you wish, to share what the Bible reveals to our hearts.

Sheila Denion and John Lemega are co-facilitators of this practice.

Zoom links for all programs are sent each Monday in the Parish Wide emails. Sign up for our emails today so you won't miss out!
