A SPORTS BRA = AN OPPORTUNITY

Join WAGS celebrating 50 years by being part of the largest sports bra drive in history. Since 1975 WAGS has been committed to supporting and providing opportunities to female athletes. To celebrate its 50th anniversary, WAGS and The Sports Bra Project have partnered to provide a leadership opportunity and ensure athletes have the equipment they need. The partnership asks tournament participants and families to "pass it forward" and ensure that girls and women have the equipment they need to get in the game.

"The catalyst for The Sports Bra Project came during a 2015 trip to Africa with a soccer based nonprofit. After nearly 30 years in collegiate and youth soccer, I had seen many of the barriers girls face. That trip—and my experiences both in the U.S. and abroad—highlighted how something as simple as not having a sports bra can prevent girls and women from playing. It was a symptom of the root concern that women were underrepresented in sports leadership roles. That realization sparked the mission behind TSBP: To help get and keep girls in the game and ensure that they have the opportunity to develop leadership skills.
