About the risk values With risk, the lower the better: index values below 100 reflect reduced risk levels, and values above 100 reflect elevated risk levels. Negative changes are in green as they reflect reduced risk, while positive changes are reported in red as they reflect elevated risks. With each update, we reflect the percentage change in the index since the previous update. FLASH notes For major changes in any given BRISKI we provide a commentary of the contributing factors in our FLASH notes which may be accessed by clicking on the FLASH link when it appears next to a BRISKI value.
What we study We track incentives, including RFS, LCFS, tax credits as they change, the value of different ETS carbon prices, the value of selected interest rate indicators, GDP changes in key countries, and harvest data and news regarding feedstock planting, condition and yield. We track news stories which affect the conditions for the markets of these molecules and feedstocks, such as industrial projects announced, joint ventures, government, ONG, institutional funding for bioeconomy projects announcements, project cancellation, modification, delay, expansion or contraction, for example. |
