NEW VOLUNTEER SIGN-UP INFORMATION  

COC gladly welcomes you to become part of our team!  We will ask you to pick either one day per week or one day per month to serve.  Our days and hours are: 

Monday  1-3:00 pm 

Tuesday  2-4:30 pm 

Friday      8:30-11 am

Please arrive ½ to 1 hour before we open so we have time to give you orientation time and a tour. (Please Park in the big parking lot to the South of our building.) You will begin to work in our donation handling area and will be assigned a trainer. 

Schedule for Becoming a COC Volunteer 

Day 1 – Pick your day of the week you want to regularly serve with us  

 Go on tour of our building  

 Meet your trainer and sign calendar  

 Work on donations with your trainer 

Day 2 -- Work with trainer again 

 Decide if you want to continue volunteering with us—talk with Pam or Janet 

Day 3 -- Read Policy and Procedures Handbook (or take home to read) 

 Work with trainer again 

Day 4 -- (Return Policy and Procedures Handbook, if necessary 

 Meet with Pam or Janet: Sign the Volunteer Information Statement, Volunteer Liabilities Statement, and the Statement of Faith. COC reserves the right to complete a background check. Ask any questions you may have. 

Day 5 – Forms checked, and a COC t-shirt will be given.  You will also be able to read the “Jobs” section of our Handbook, so you are able to see other jobs you may like to learn. 

         **(If you have chosen to work 1 day a month, this schedule will be shortened.
