November 2024 Newsletter |
Only six weeks left in 2024! That’s so hard to believe…
It’s been a momentous year for JA USA with Jack Kosakowski’s retirement (see his new member announcement below!), welcoming Jack Harris as JA USA’s new CEO, and congratulating Tim Greinert as the new JA USA President. We have signed our new Memorandum of Understanding and look forward to a continued partnership with JA USA.
One of our key priorities this year is increasing the opportunity to get together with our JASAN friends. Our first set of gatherings will be virtual – November 20 and 21. |

February 2025 Newsletter |
It’s been a while and there’s lots of great news to share! I hope you’re all healthy and warm! I can only tell you that it’s soooooo cold in Texas – this is not why I moved here 25 years ago…We hope you’ll mark your calendars for our annual meeting Wednesday July 23 – Friday July 25 in beautiful downtown Cleveland, Ohio! On the edge of Lake Erie, with an average July temperature in the mid-high 70s, the weather will be amazing! More details soon – and we hope you’ll plan to join us and celebrate all our connections.
If there’s anything you need, please let us know. In the meantime, read on for some great updates! |

“April showers bring May flowers” … well, here in Texas we’re hoping that our early spring flowers last through upcoming weather changes…I know many of you have had those tulips and daffodils poke their heads up, bloom – and then get covered by snow!
Your JASAN Executive Committee has been busy – recruiting new members, raising funds for the next fiscal year (if you haven’t given yet, consider clicking here to donate now to make your gift), and planning for our Annual Meeting in July. Here are some highlights of our upcoming meeting (July 17 and 18 in Kansas City): |

December 2023 Newsletter |
Thankful, grateful, mindful – for all our blessings. That’s what this time of year means to me.
> I am thankful for all the amazing things being part of Junior Achievement has given me over the decades. Amazing friends, my husband (yes, he was a volunteer…), and a chance to make a difference. |
|
While it is nearly February, we still want to wish you the happiest – and hopefully healthiest – 2024. It seems that most of us are living in places that have experienced ridiculous cold, snow, rain (or a combination of all!) during the past couple of weeks. I know it’s been record-setting in Dallas!
2024 brings great opportunities for JASAN – and for JA! We will be celebrating Jack Kosakowski’s 50 years of professional service to JA – and his retirement at our annual meeting in Kansas City, in July. |
|
Happy New Year! I know you remember the days we celebrated New Year’s on July 1 – looking forward to another year of inspiring and preparing young people to succeed through JA programs. We are still celebrating our new year – 2023-24 for the JA Staff Alumni Network. I feel privileged to lead this organization for the next two years and am grateful to John Weil and the 2022-23 Executive Committee for setting us up for great success. |
|
As fall arrives (although here in Texas it’s still in the 90’s) my memories are of school starting, JA Company student recruiting, volunteer training – and making sure program kits get to all those who are ready to get started in the classroom. As we learned at this year’s National Leadership Conference, there are many more ways to make a difference in kids’ lives than ever before. |

We're also finishing up our funding campaign (yes, you can still contribute!) providing the ability to deliver our program of work during the 2023-24 year. This issue of our newsletter is focused on the agenda for the annual meeting, and our new regular feature - a spotlight on one of our members. |
