A New Class: Video Series for a Longstanding Prayer begins Feb. 11th

For over two years, Trinity’s weekly bulletin has included this heartfelt concern among Our Thoughts and Prayers:

We remember the recent victims of gun violence. We pray to know ways to bring peace to the grieving, and the troubled, and the communities traumatized by violence and death.

The PCUSA shares our concern, and through the Presbyterian Peacemaking Program, has developed a thoughtful and informative series of videos exploring varied aspects of the phenomenon of gun violence in the US. The video series, entitled “Standing Our Holy Ground: A comprehensive look at gun violence and what the faith community can do about it”, builds upon the foundation of the PCUSA’s gun violence policies and upon a prayerfully-developed set of core understandings.

Please feel free to drop by the Atwood Room during the education hour any Sunday from now through May to join in watching thirty minutes of a video, followed by reaction, discussion, and brainstorming. You are welcome at any time, each one is a separate topic, which are listed on the PCSUA Presbyterian website.
