As we move forward with the latest guidance from the state and county for pandemic protocols, it doesn't impact our club as much as it could have, which is good. We've basically back to where we were in the late spring: if you are fully vaccinated and show us proof of vaccination, you may play indoors without a mask. Non-vaccinated individuals must continue to wear a mask while playing indoors. Anyone, regardless of vaccination status, must wear a mask in the clubhouse or locker rooms. Additionally, Benton County has an outdoor mask requirement for situations where social distancing cannot be maintained, but that doesn't apply to most of what happens here, so any player may continue to play maskless outside.
For now, these are rules we can live with here at the club, and I think it will help in transmission reduction and generally keeping our vulnerable folks safe.
With the increase in local caseloads in mind, the Board has made the decision to cancel the 2021 Barbecue once and for all ( we had delayed it from summer to fall hoping conditions would improve for a large gathering).
Other good news is that our programs continue to operate nicely--our lesson programs (both here and through Parks and Rec) were largely at capacity throughout the summer, and we anticipate that to continue into the fall. Much of the lesson programs shifts back into the afternoon time slots in mid-September, so be sure to account for that when looking for courts.
Remember, too, that we are offering 50% off the initiation fee and first month dues free for incoming new members between now and November 15--it's a great time to join, and if you are listed as a referring member you get a $50 First Alternative Natural Foods gift card!
See you out on the courts!
