Keep Cool

Every day, families in our community face the impossible choice between keeping the lights on, staying cool during dangerous Florida heat, or paying for other basic necessities. Through the St. Vincent de Paul Orlando “Keep the Lights On” campaign, your support helps provide emergency utility assistance, restore power, and bring comfort, safety, and hope to neighbors in need. Together, we can help families remain connected, protected, and cared for when they need it most.

News from SVDP Orlando: After unexpectedly losing his job, John quickly fell behind on bills and received a shutoff notice for his electricity. With Florida heat rising, he feared his family would be left without power or air conditioning. Through St. Vincent de Paul Orlando’s “Keep the Lights On” program, generous donors helped cover part of his past-due bill and prevented the shutoff. Your support helps families like John’s stay safe, cool, and connected during difficult times

As the cost of living continues to rise, many families are struggling to keep up with everyday expenses. Higher gas prices, increasing electric bills, and the rising cost of groceries and housing are forcing hardworking neighbors to make difficult choices between paying utilities, buying food, or filling prescriptions. During Florida’s extreme heat, losing electricity or air conditioning can quickly become dangerous for children, seniors, and vulnerable families. Your donation to the “Keep the Lights On” campaign helps provide emergency utility assistance, prevents shutoffs, restores power, and ensures families can remain safe, healthy, and connected during times of hardship.
