North Road Communications (NRC) is Marist University’s pre-professional, student-run integrated marketing communications firm, providing pro-bono multimedia services to local, community-based clients across the U.S. and beyond. NRC is committed to giving students meaningful, hands-on experience that prepares them for professional success. Today, the firm proudly supports 140 members and 23 clients.

The Sports Bra Project has been working with North Road Communications since 2021. As one of the firm’s longest standing clients, The Sports Bra Project is home to NRC’s largest student team of six*. Together, student Account Executives and Assistant Account Executives work to raise funds and awareness for the cause, contribute to social media content and campaigns, and facilitate cross-departmental sports bra drives with campus teams and organizations.

The Sports Bra Project x Marist Dance Ensemble

The North Road Communications team most recently hosted a sports bra drive at the Marist Dance Ensemble Showcase in April 2026. Check out some highlights below!

They raised $280 and collected 14 sports bras to be donated over the course of the two day showcase.

Created by Caitlin Mayo, the promotional videos ahead of the drive garnered over 16,500 views and increased our social media reach by 191%.

Education, awareness, and access are at cornerstone of our mission.

The North Road Communications team conducted various social media campaigns to highlight change-makers in women’s sports and the impact a proper-fitting sports bra has on body confidence.

The Sports Bra Project x Marist Men’s & Women’s Basketball

The North Road Communications team broke a Marist sports bra drive record, raising $460, collecting 13 sports bras, increasing online reach by 152%, and even securing a feature on the ESPN+ sports broadcast.

The Sports Bra Project x Special Olympics

The North Road Communications team participated in Marist University's Special Olympics Event, educating athletes on the importance of a proper fitting sports bra and distributing user-friendly sports bras to female athletes.

North Road Communications supports its students and clients every semester by hosting an End-of-Semester Showcase, where clients and faculty are invited to see the impact of the student-run firm on the local community.
