Overview
South Carolina Education Scholarship Trust Fund Program allows families residing in the state of South Carolina who have a qualified K-12 student(s) to apply for a scholarship of $6,000 to create a customized education for their student. Parents can choose to use the funds for tutoring (Math, Reading, English, Science, Social Studies, Foreign Language), independent school tuition and fees, textbooks, educational materials, educational therapies, online classes, and contract services from a public school district. Awards are limited to first 5,000 approved students for the 2024-25 school year. Total award amounts equal $6,000.
Application
Families can apply January 15, 2024- March 15, 2024, for 2024-25 school year. Scholarship funds will begin to be available in July 2024.
Eligibility
- Must be resident of South Carolina,
- Have attended a South Carolina public school during 2023-24 school year or turning five on or before September 1 2024, AND
- Have a household income that does not exceed 200% of the federal poverty guidelines.
- Students can not be enrolled full-time in a South Carolina public school to receive scholarship.
