Even though Phil saw his shadow, signaling six more weeks of winter, we have plenty to be optimistic about. Our recent HR Development Day was a tremendous success, with overwhelmingly positive feedback. It was inspiring to see so many professionals engaged, learning, and growing together. Events like these remind us why we do what we do—building stronger workplaces and elevating the HR profession.

Our 50th anniversary celebration is fast approaching on March 7, and we’re inviting both current and past members to join us at the Midland Center for the Arts. This milestone event will be a special evening of reflection, connection, and celebration, capped off with a performance by the Midland Symphony Orchestra. It’s a moment to honor VSHRM’s legacy and the impact we’ve had on our community. Plus, all members—past and present—will receive a special gift and all attendees, a drink ticket and great food. I hope you’ll be there to celebrate with us!
