Celebrating and supporting Maryland caregivers and beyond.

When it comes to caring for another, there can be physical, emotional, and financial strain on the person providing care. MPT recognizes the importance of raising awareness and fostering a dialogue to support our community members in caring for others. Thanks to a grant supporting the PBS documentary Caregiving, MPT has created this one-stop shop for resources, support, and details about our Caregiving Expo held on August 2, 2025.

This free event has passed; however, you can scroll down to see resources and recordings from the event.

Caregiving Expo Activities

Take a breath, this space is just for you! Come in and slow down in our relaxation lounge or our moment of zen courtyard. Enjoy complimentary snacks and chair massages. Plus, take a look at some inspiring stories from the Caregiving Short Film collection. The lounge is open all hours of the event, 10am-4pm.

Reconnect with your inner strength and get creative with a peaceful art activity. In just a few minutes, participants will create a small, meaningful collage tile that reflects their own needs, hopes, and inner resilience. Take the token with you as a reminder that care for others begins with care for yourself. Facilitated by Lovelace Crafts & More.

In the Gratitude Hall, you're invited to write a note of thanks to the caregivers who show up with compassion, strength, and quiet courage every day. Whether it’s a message to someone specific or a general thank-you, take the opportunity to remind caregivers that their work matters and they are seen. Grab a card, write from the heart, and help fill this space with love.

Ready to relax, recharge, and treat yourself? Enter our Self-Care Basket Raffle for your chance to win one of several beautifully curated baskets -- each filled with handpicked goodies designed to help you unwind and feel your best.
