Building our dream home at Tilly Foster Farm!

Help us reach our goal of $750k

It is our mission to make the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Putnam County the best in New York State. CCE Putnam must raise all the funds to help us build our new home at Tilly Foster Farms. Our goal to complete this project is $750,000, that is why your contribution is so very important to make this happen. 

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Putnam County has been operating in its present location since 1992, and the space has become restrictive. In the past few years we’ve been called upon to respond to Putnam’s needs in many new and challenging ways. CCE’s ability to be nimble has enabled us to continue providing valuable evidence-based programming to over 110,000 community members. And we have done this with limited office space, only 1,946 square feet. 

Our top three service areas are 4-H Youth Development, Community Horticulture (Master Gardeners) Program and Strengthening Community and Economic Vitality and many new initiatives that are currently in development. To continue to provide outstanding quality and lasting service to our growing community, we need a new home.

At present, we have a unique opportunity to relocate to Tilly Foster Farm in Brewster, NY, a campus which would allow for substantial growth in our service to the community. Not only will this move support the continuation of outstanding programs, it will also allow us to bring to fruition many additional initiatives which are currently in development or needed for the future. 

Construction at Tilly Foster Farm of a beautiful two-story energy-efficient facility will take place on an existing footprint, a building location which we are being offered and which will allow us to blend in with the aesthetics of the historic farm. The location will provide greater public access and exposure, and the building will offer not only greatly improved office space but also a large, flexible area for lectures, laboratory facilities, demonstrations, and conferences. 

It is our mission to make the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Putnam County a leader in the New York State Extension system. CCE Putnam must raise all the funds to make this happen! Our goal to complete this project by late Summer, 2022, is $750,000. Your contribution is very important!
