Description: Living with vision loss comes with unique challenges, but you don’t have to face them alone. Join our Support Group, facilitated by Vista Center’s social worker, for a safe and welcoming space to share experiences, ask questions, and connect with others who truly understand.

Together, we’ll talk about coping strategies, emotional wellness, and resources that can help make daily life a little easier. Whether you’re newly adjusting or have been living with vision loss for years, this group is here for you.

Spanish Speaking Support Group - In Person

Chinese Speaking Peer Support Group - Hybrid

Description: Only those with vision loss can fully understand the experience. This group is led by a peer who also has vision loss. Find support, understanding, and friendship with members of the Vista community. This group is for people who speak Cantonese.

Book Club - Hybrid

Description: The Palo Alto Vista Book Club meets the 4th Thursday of every month in person in Conference Room and on Zoom.

Orientation and Mobility (O&M) Walk - In Person

2nd Annual White Cane Awareness Day

Date: Thursday, October 8th, 2026

Time: 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM

Location: Palo Alto City Hall, (250 Hamilton Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94301)

Cost: Free community event, donations encouraged. No registration required.

The white cane is a powerful symbol of dignity, self-determination, and independent travel. Come walk with us to celebrate achievements across the low-vision and blind community and raise awareness for safe, independent mobility.

Individuals living with vision loss, staff, volunteers, and community members will gather to participate in a community fundraising walk through downtown Palo Alto, followed by a celebration of accessibility, inclusion, and independence.
