Donate gently-used or new household items (or clothing and shoes) to any Goodwill of Delaware & Delaware County location

Simply use our paperless donation receipt system (QRCode) to generate a donation receipt that will go to your email address and we will automatically enter you to win.

If QRCode’s aren’t your thing, ask our donor greeter for a paper donation receipt, complete the comment card and mail it in. All mail in entries must be received no later than Saturday, May 7, 2022.

The winner will be notified the week of May 8.

How are my donations used?

Donations of gently-used and new household items, toys, books, clothes and more are sold in our stores to fund job training delivered through Goodwill’s Workforce Development programs. These programs help individuals who are facing barriers to self-sufficiency (people with disabilities, veterans, youth, seniors, people in recovery and those with justice-system involvement) develop to their full potential and provide for themselves and their families, through the Power of Work! We also partner with social services agencies to provide vouchers for people with urgent needs to shop with us at no cost, and through our community-based donation programs, local non-profits receive gift cards to distribute to people in need.

What items is Goodwill most in need of?

This spring we are most in need of houseware items – small electronics in working order with all parts, games and toys, books, video games, CDs, DVDs, board games, sporting goods, picture frames, hard and soft decorative items, handbags and shoes. We are not able to accept televisions. While housewares are the items in high demand right now, we always welcome your donations of gently-used and new clothing, shoes, accessories and jewelry.

What items is Goodwill not able to accept?

Certain items are unsaleable, costly to dispose of, dangerous or hazardous, and cost tens of thousands of dollars to dispose of each year – money that could fund job training and support services for people in our communities. For this reason, we are unable to accept televisions, pianos and organs, mattresses, firearms, air guns, paint, large household appliances, building materials, car seats, items recalled by the Consumer Product Safety Commission, and items that are wet, soiled or show signs of insect infestation.

How will I be notified if I win?

We will attempt to reach the winner by phone and email (please check your information closely when using our paperless donation receipt system, or write legibly if entering via the donation comment card). If we do not have a response from the winner within 3 business days, they will be considered to have forfeited and another winner will be identified.
